Kennebunk Savings Bank names UNE a Community Investment Grant recipient
BIDDEFORD, Maine - Each year since 1995, Kennebunk Savings Bank has asked its customers to vote for a charity of their choice in the annual Community Investment Ballot program. The University of New England is pleased to announce it has again been awarded a community grant based on customer votes tallied in support of the university this year.
Kennebunk Savings Bank President and CEO states, “The Community Investment Ballot is a special program because it gives our customers a chance to direct contributions to organizations they deem the most important.”
The bank grants support five key areas, including education programs that enhance academic achievements and aspirations for all citizens in the community. This year’s ballot program received over 5,000 votes in support of nearly 200 area non-profits.
The KSB grant will be used for UNE’s Scholars Program, which provides financial assistance to deserving students.
