Judi Puiia, "Purple Iris"
Judi Puiia is a Maine native, who has been drawing and painting from nature since she was very little. She grew up in Waterville and currently resides in Scarborough. Puiia enjoys working with flowers as her subject. "I love how each petal flows and curves and I am amazed at the vibrant colors I see. Looking up close or into the center of a flower is like looking into an intricate composition of color and design."

Judy is a graduate of University of Maine at Orono and worked as a graphic artist for many years after college. Most of her career has been spent working as an art educator and currently teaches at Saco Middle School in Saco, Maine. Her mediums of choice are watercolor and oil paints, and she can often be seen at many of the local sidewalk art festivals. She is an avid gardener with many of her flowers serving as inspirations for her works.

Heather Libby is a Maine native and graduate of the University of Southern Maine with a B.F.A. in art education. She has previously exhibited at SPACE Gallery, the USM Area Gallery, and the Aries Gallery in Portland. In addition to her own work, Libby currently teaches art at Auburn Middle School in Auburn, Maine. She feels strongly that her personal creative process informs and enriches her professional practice in the classroom. She resides in Portland, Maine.  Works featured in "Personal Perspectives" reflect Libby's interest in pattern, color, and design, as well as pointed social commentary. By utilizing images and themes from the past, she constructs collages with a new subtext in reference to contemporary culture.
