Sutton and Roy, both employees of UNE, are passionate about their work.

Georgette Sutton
Quilt by Georgette SuttonSutton, longtime switchboard operator, has been making quilts since 1987 and has had her work published in two books, Quilts with a View by Faye Labanaris and Convergence by Ricky Tim. Each year she donates quilts to local church fairs, unwed mothers and AIDS babies. In January 2000, she donated eight millennium baby quilts to different southern Maine area hospitals to be given to the second baby born that year.

Kate Roy
Painting by Kate RoyRoy, athletic facilities coordinator and swim coach, began painting in her twenties. She states, "I think that color is the best expression of emotion. Sometimes I mix color and then decide what the picture is going to be based on the color I created. Each [painting] has its own story, its own inspiration, and often its own audience. Each painting is a different feeling, or memory, or hope. I hope that each painting will bring the viewer a true emotion."

The Campus Center Gallery is open 6:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m., daily. Stella Maris Hall is open from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., daily.
