Four new trustees added to UNE's board
The University of New England's Board of Trustees has added four new members to its ranks, all consultants. They come to their current entrepreneurial positions with backgrounds as a research scientist, an investor, an L.L. Bean executive and a trial attorney.
Brian K. Dallaire, Pharm. D. of San Diego, California and Hills Beach, Maine, is the president and founder of Lighthouse Clinical Development, a California-based company specializing in helping the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry plan strategies for clinical development. A research scientist by training, he worked at a number of major pharmaceutical companies before joining the IDEC Pharmaceuticals Corporation in 1993. During his tenure there he served as senior director for clinical trials management, operations and medical affairs.
David L. Anderson, Ph.D., of Hills Beach, Biddeford, is managing director of Supply Chain Ventures, LLC, a venture capital and consulting company specializing in software investing. He recently retired as a managing partner from Accenture, a global management and consulting technology services and outsourcing company. He is currently on the board of directors/advisors of several major, international companies. Over the past 30 years, he has helped numerous global corporations transform their supply chains into world-class organizations.
Daniel D'Entremont of Kennebunk, Maine, is a former vice president and controller of L.L. Bean. He now has his own consulting firm. D'Entremont is board chair of the Maine Development Foundation, a statewide public/private organization that champions sustainable, long-term economic growth for Maine. He belongs to the Friends of UNE group and one of his daughters, Danielle, is enrolled in UNE's medical school, the College of Osteopathic Medicine. His wife, Denise, taught special education at Kennedy School in Biddeford, where she is currently the guidance counselor. She established and coordinates the mentoring program between Kennedy School and the UNE College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Constance O'Neil Lundquist, J.D., of Brunswick, Maine, spent 16 years as a trial attorney and partner with Conley, Haley & O'Neil in Bath, Maine, before starting her own consulting company (Working Solutions) in 1997. She earned her law degree from the University of Maine School of Law, and studied mediation at the University of Southern Maine. She is on the board of directors and vice president of Maine Arts, Inc., and on the advisory board to Maine Center for Women.
