Bachelor of Science in Applied Exercise Science
Applied Exercise Science majors graduate with the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform: pre-participatory screening, fitness testing, exercise prescription, and exercise leadership for healthy, health-compromised populations and athletic performance enhancement.

With a combination of science, exercise science and athletic training courses, these students are prepared for career opportunities as a health and fitness professional; in cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, strength and conditioning, sports medicine, corporate fitness, personal training, health promotion and research. Graduates are on the cutting edge of exercise science and strength and conditioning.

NSCA-Endorsed Program
UNE's Applied Exercise Science program has received acceptance and endorsement of the National Strength and Conditioning Association's Education Recognition Program. This is a three-year endorsement, and UNE is now the only NSCA-endorsed program in Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, and Rhode Island.
