Accreditation and Performance Data

Accreditation 

UNE is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges. The Physician Assistant Program is accredited by the Accreditation Review Committee on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA).

The ARC-PA website is: http://www.arc-pa.org/ 

The PA Program received provisional accreditation in 1996 and continuing accreditation in 1998. The Program last received continuing accreditation in March of 2008. Its review for continuing accreditation is next scheduled for March 2012.

Performance Data:  NCCPA PANCE Pass Rates

The National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) administers the Physician Assistant National Certification Examination (PANCE) to PA Program graduates.

The table in the pdf linked below is taken directly from the NCCPA website and lists UNE PA Program PANCE “pass rate” percentages by class compared to national percentages.  The percentage of graduates who take and pass the examination on the first attempt (UNE and national) and all graduates taking the examination (UNE and national) are listed for your comparison.
