Welcome from the Westbrook College of Health Professions Dean's Office
Dean's Letter:
Welcome to the Westbrook College of Health Professions (WCHP) at the University of New England. I invite you to explore our website and learn more about our academic programs, scholarly activities, and clinical service. The college is home to diverse academic programs that all share a commitment to educating the highest quality health care providers, and a tradition of interdisciplinary education based on the premise that excellence in health care requires practitioners who work well within the context of health care teams.
Students in WCHP work diligently to become highly trained providers in their respective fields, but are also exposed from day one to the many different aspects of health care and the important roles played by the other members of the team. From interdisciplinary extracurricular activities like Grand Rounds, to interdisciplinary field opportunities, students in all programs have the opportunity and the expectation that they learn beyond the borders of their particular discipline. Thus, our Strategic Plan centers on five core attributes that we strive to develop in all of our students and to model as faculty and staff: Compassion, Collaboration, Leadership, Critical Thinking, and Health & Wellness. It is an exciting time in health care and an exciting time for the Westbrook College of Health Professions, where we strive to live out our mission everyday.
You will find introductions and contact information for the other members of the Dean’s Office below. Our shared purpose is to facilitate and enhance the capacity of faculty, staff, and administration to further the mission of the College. Thank you for visiting our website, and please feel free to come by and visit or give us a call.
