Professor of History

The seminar will explore how Americans have thought of themselves as a people and nation in terms of their role in the world both past and present.


Paul T. Burlin is Professor of History at the University of New England and author ofImperial Maine and Hawai’i. He was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Micronesia, a Fulbright Scholar in São Paulo, Brazil, and a member of the board of the World Affairs Council of Maine.
