Childhood Exposure to Violence: Resilience, Early Interventions and Treatment

Portland Defending Childhood (PDC) is a coalition of organizations led by the City of Portland Public Health Division, Maine Behavioral Healthcare and the Violence Intervention Partnership of Cumberland County Government. PDC has conducted several trainings at UNE and will be returning in the fall to provide this training once again to health professionals working with children in the community. The training will explore  how we understand typical reactions and symptoms of childhood exposure to violence and trauma in children and how to respond effectively.

Registration begins at 8:30am, training is scheduled from 9am - 12pm.
