Before becoming a sculptor and award winning public artist, Asherah Cinnamon was a clinical social worker in Maine and Tennessee. In recent years she has added public artist to her roles as community leader and national educator to build coalitions across lines of race, class, gender, sexual orientation, age, religion, ethnicity, and sexual orientation. Asherah views public art as a method used to build community and to bring awareness to social issues that affect our collective health and well being.

  • Exposure to a broader and more useful understanding and definition of art that incorporates community consciousness and cultural sensitivity
