Homeless Voices for Justice
Homeless Voices for Justice is a state-wide social change movement, organized and led by people who have struggled with homelessness. Its programs are based in the belief that true change occurs only when those affected are directly involved, empowered and gain leadership skills to organize and advocate for institutional change. In this presentation, members of the Preble Street Resource Center’s Homeless Voices for Justice project will examine issues of homelessness, class and poverty and debunk some of the myths and stereotypes of homeless individuals.

Student learning outcomes:
- Exposure to first person knowledge about homelessness and its impact
- Raise awareness of discrimination in health and welfare experienced by people who are homeless
- Introduce empowerment-based programs that advocate for change and improved care cross-cultural understanding, and resources
