CEAH Winter Series: Intergenerational Friendships

Why do we tend to spend time with same-age friends, and what are we missing when we limit ourselves to these relationships? In this talk, we will describe the prominence of age homophily in friendship, and explore the barriers to intergenerational connection. We will discuss the potential of intergenerational friendships for fostering identity, creating community, and improving mental health.
