When you place a hold on a UNE Library item, we’ll check it out to you and send you an email when it is ready to pick up.
To place a hold:
- Find the item you want in the UNE Library catalog and click on the title (if you see a due date, someone else has already borrowed it).
- Click the “place a hold” button at the top of the screen.
- Enter your name (first last) and UNE ID card number.
- Choose the UNE campus library where you would like to pick up your item.
- Click “submit.”
Place a hold when:
Someone else has already borrowed the item you need.
If you see a due date when you look something up, someone else has borrowed it. If you place a hold, we can check it out to you once they return it. You will receive an email letting you know to come pick it up.
You want to borrow something from the other campus.
We deliver between campuses every business day. To request an available library item from the other campus, place a hold on it and we can have it checked out to you and delivered to your home campus library within 1-2 business days. You will receive an email letting you know to come pick it up. We will hold your items for up to 10 days. If you no longer need the item you requested, please Contact Us to avoid late charges. You can return items to either campus library.
