Geoffrey Bove, D.C., Ph.D., Professor in the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine (UNE COM), was recently appointed to the Scientific Program Committee of the American Pain Society for a two year term.

The American Pain Society, established in 1977, brings together a diverse group of scientists, clinicians and other professionals to increase the knowledge of pain and transform public policy and clinical practice to reduce pain-related suffering.

Bove will participate in designing the program for the next two meetings, each of which last four days and are held in various locations around the United States. Derek Molliver, Ph.D., associate professor in UNE COM, was a past member of this committee from 2012-2013.
