Dr. Adepitan A. Owosho received his dental degree from Obafemi Awolowo University in Nigeria in 2010 and practiced as a general dentist for 2 years before commencing his oral and maxillofacial pathology residency training at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center/School of Dental Medicine in 2012. After successful completion of his specialty training, Dr. Owosho completed a 2-year oral/dental oncology clinical research fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York.
Dr. Owosho is a board-certified Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology; a Fellow of the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology; and a Fellow of the American Academy of Oral Medicine. Dr. Owosho's clinical and research interests lie in histopathologic evaluation of oral neoplasms and management of oral complications of cancer therapy in patients. He has co-authored over 40 manuscripts in peer-reviewed journals on these topics.
