As a learning specialist at the Student Academic Success Center at UNE Portland Campus, Allison provides online and on-campus support for students to build effective study strategies, time management habits, and test-taking skills.  She also supports students from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds. One of her greatest joys is helping students to efficiently and successfully reach their academic and career goals.

Allison has been teaching and supporting students for nearly 20 years. She started her career teaching English as a Second Language, eventually spending 3 years teaching in Singapore. She has also taught a range of writing composition and reading strategies courses at colleges across the country. Before moving to Maine, she worked with students at the University of Alaska SE to improve reading, writing, and study skills.
