Assistant Clinical Professor
Dr. Hailey Choi received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Duquesne University Mylan School of Pharmacy. Following graduation, she completed a PGY1 community practice residency at the Center for Pharmacy Care, a pharmacist-run ambulatory care clinic, at Duquesne University Mylan School of Pharmacy. After completing residency, she continued her post-graduate training in Academic and Research Fellowship at Duquesne University Mylan School of Pharmacy in great passion for continuing her career in academia. During her fellowship, she practiced as a clinical pharmacist at Catholic Charities Free Health Care Center, a free clinic serving uninsured patient population in Pittsburgh area, and she also conducted a research project in dental clinic at the Free Health Care Center looking at medication discrepancies in dental records and ways to improve medication reconciliation process in dental practice. As an academic fellow, she was involved in facilitating various active learning courses such as ability-based learning labs, problem-based learning sessions as well as lecturing in several pharmacy classes.
Dr. Choi is interested in working with indigent patient population, working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals in ambulatory care setting to manage choronic disease states via medication reconciliation and medication therapy management. In addition to teaching regular classroom courses, Dr. Choi is practicing at the Mid Coast Medical Group – an ambulatory care clinic in Bath, Maine, and providing experiential education to APPE students at her site.
