Kelsey joined UNE’s Counseling Center team in early 2022. Prior to working at the university, she spent 4 years working in a community mental health clinic in rural Maine. Kelsey is currently licensed as a Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCPC) within the state of Maine. She has a bachelor’s degree in Psychology, and received her master’s degree in Counseling at the University of Southern Maine.
Kelsey believes that counseling can be a helpful place that allows you to be heard and seen, without judgment or added stress. She believes in meeting clients where they are at, and working collaboratively to explore each student’s goals. Kelsey is trained in a variety of different therapy techniques, including: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT).
