After a nearly 30-year career as an award-winning print journalist for Oklahoma’s largest newspaper, PJ and her spouse relocated to Maine in the summer of 2012. Prior to her position at UNE, she worked extensively with the local and regional business community as the Biddeford+Saco Chamber marketing coordinator. She also has worked with small Maine businesses and nonprofits on branding, graphics, communications, and fund development efforts. She authored two editions of a travel book about curious places and people in Oklahoma. She remains active in the Biddeford+Saco and the Portland chambers and is a member of the National Society for Experiential Education and the National Association of College and Employers. She currently is an advisor to UNE’s Alliance and an ex officio member of the CASFA Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee. She spent six years as a board member for Caring Unlimited, York County’s domestic abuse agency and three years as a board member and founding committee member for Saco Age Friendly.
