Rebecca Bushby, M.Ed., M.S.L.I.S.

Contact Rebecca to schedule a consultation or to provide library instruction for your class. She is the library liaison to Health Wellness & Occupational Studies, Nurse Anesthesia, the School of Nursing & Population Health, Occupational Therapy, and the School of Social Work.

Rebecca's more than 15 years of professional experience as an educator and librarian influence her research interests in virtual reference practices, and the research preparedness of first-year students. She holds a MEd from The College of New Jersey and a MSLIS from Drexel University, and has presented regionally and nationally. Prior to joining UNE in 2021, Rebecca was an Assistant Professor in the Library at The College of New Jersey.

Research

Current research

The freshmen meet the frames. The study explores the library skills preparedness of learners as they transition from high school seniors through first-year of college. A collaboration with Joyce Valenza, Rutgers University School of Communication and Information, and other academic librarians at six NJ institutions. The team received grants from the Center for International Scholarship in School Libraries (CISSL) and SC&I Faculty Research (Rutgers).
