About the Ceremony
The White Coat Ceremony is a significant and meaningful tradition that symbolizes the students' commitment to the profession of pharmacy and the professionalism that is expected of students within the School of Pharmacy and in their eventual practice. As a student of pharmacy, professionalism means to practice with excellence and accountability and to always act with respect, honor, and integrity.
During the ceremony, the students are asked to recite an oath in which they pledge their professionalism. The students will wear a white coat representing their commitment to clinical care and service.
