Student Financial Aid Scholarships

Scholarship Description ELIGIBILITY DEADLINE
Infantcpr Safebaby Scholarship

InfantCPR.com is offering a scholarship to college students in the amount of $1000. We offer this annual scholarship in the Fall. We are awarding this scholarship to students enrolled in health care programs at a college or university.

Who Can Apply

This scholarship is for students who are seeking a degree in any health care field. To be considered, students must:

  • Be actively enrolled in a university or college.
  • Be seeking a bachelor’s or master’s degree with the purpose of pursuing a career in health care.
  • Must be 18 years or older.

How to be Considered

To apply, students will need to submit a 500-word essay that exhibits the following values.

InfantCPR.com was founded in 2013 as passion project. Our mission has been – and continues to be – to equip parents and caregivers with the basic medical knowledge that enables them to better protect children. When it comes down to it, that’s what we care about; protecting children. Too many parents and caregivers forego basic emergency health classes like CPR, first aid, and choking relief simply because the classes often require too much time and commitment. Combine that with the fact that most people forget 80% of their CPR knowledge after 6 months, we are woefully unprepared for these types of emergencies.

In the seven years that we have been serving parents and caregivers, the number one thing that keeps us going is our love for children and our desire to protect them.

In your 500 word essay, please describe:

  • How you will leverage your health care degree to protect the most vulnerable in our society
  • How the funds will help you pursue your long-term goals.
  • Why you should be considered for this scholarship.

Please give any examples of how you have embodied a life of helping and protecting the vulnerable. We will choose a winner who also embodies these values.

Beauty + Wellness Scholarships for Women

Each day, the average woman applies nearly 200 chemicals to her skin via her beauty routine and over 60% of those chemicals are absorbed directly into the blood stream. These chemicals include potentially cancer-causing chemical additives like parabens, mineral oils and other petrochemical byproducts, ethoxylated ingredients, phthalates, and sulfates (to name a few). Not only are we bombarded by potentially toxicity in our beauty products, we’re also constantly exposed to questionable chemicals in our food, cleaning products, and medicines. Combine those facts with our modern high-stress lifestyles and the CDC’s estimation that 80% of American’s don’t get the recommended amount of exercise—-and you’ve got yourself a big wellness problem. At Skin Care Ox, we believe that true wellness is within our grasp–if we are mindful, aware, and active in making good decisions. We’re not alone. Today, more women are taking a closer look at the ingredients in their food and beauty products and making more informed choices. Additionally, yoga, meditation, and other alternative wellness therapies are more popular now than ever before.

Living a totally healthy lifestyle can be surprisingly challenging in our modern society—especially for college students! The Skin Care Ox: Beauty + Wellness Scholarship for Women program was established to provide financial support to college women who are striving to lead healthy lifestyles. To date, we’ve awarded over $15,000 to deserving health-conscious students from all over the country! If you’re a female high school senior, undergraduate, or graduate student who is committed to maintaining personal wellness, then this is the scholarship for you!

HOW TO APPLY

We’re asking female students to share their personal wellness journeys and experiences as students. To apply, complete and submit the short online application by midnight PST on January 1st, March 31st, June 30th, and September 30th every year.  All applicants must submit a 500 word maximum essay on the essay prompt below and share (3) articles on Skin Care Ox that inspire them. Student essays will be judged on their originality, creativity, and dedication to healthy lifestyle choices.

ESSAY PROMPT

Importance of a Healthy Lifestyle

Why are you committed to living a healthy lifestyle? How do you maintain your physical and mental wellness as a student? Is the cost or availability of organic + natural products a challenge? Has it been difficult or easy to make the healthy decisions? Why? Also, please share (3) articles on Skin Care Ox that inspire you and why.

How to Apply

To apply, email us at scholarships@custodyxchange.com with your contact details, and attach the following:

The scholarship application window is open all year; each semester's application window opens right after the previous semester's deadline.

Eligibility Requirements

In order to qualify for the Custody X Change Single Parent Scholarship, you must:

  • Have primary physical custody of one or more minor children
  • Be enrolled full or part time as an undergraduate at an accredited college or university
  • Have a GPA of 3.0 or higher or be a first-semester student

The scholarship is open to single parent students around the world. If you're outside the US, you should have the equivalent of 3.0 GPA or higher on your university's grading scale.

Application Tips and Advice

For any scholarship that you apply to, you can improve your chances of being selected by following all the instructions and crafting a message that stands out.

Tell your story

Tell your compelling story in a relevant way. Don't just state facts or talk about how much the award would help. Avoid the phrases "I deserve this because" and "Pick me".

Follow the word count

If the scholarship application has a word count, make sure you stick to it. Being outside of the word count will likely disqualify your application.

Double check your spelling and grammar

Double check your application for spelling and grammar. This includes the body of the email, your application and the file name of any attachments.

Follow all instructions

Make sure you submit all the requested information. Any documents should be attached to the email, not copied into the email body.

Know who you're talking to

Each scholarship is put on by a specific person or organization. Look at who it is and, if possible, address the email or other materials toward the persons.

Note: By applying, you are giving us consent to use your name and your school for promotional purposes without further compensation to you. We will not share any other personal information, nor publish any part of your essay, without your consent.

Dirk Derrick Car & Truck Accident Injury Scholarship

The Dirk Derrick Car & Truck Accident Injury Scholarship is an award for any current or soon-to-be undergraduate student in the United States who has had his or her life altered due to an injury from a car or truck accident, be it their own injury, that of a loved one, or an influential individual. The Dirk Derrick Scholarship has a brief submission process, and applicants will be judged on their ability to convey the lasting effect an auto accident has had on their life as well as their journey to overcome those challenges. Applicants may apply via the Google Form below.

Students applying must submit an essay where you explain, present, inspire, or otherwise convince us as to why you deserve to win this scholarship. There are no conditions or outside requirements for this essay. Please keep submissions to 5 paragraphs and 600 words at the absolute maximum. This is not a standardized test. While spelling, punctuation, and general cohesiveness will make your essay easier to read, and therefore judge, you are not being graded. The winning submission will be one which clearly conveys a non-fictional story of your life before and after an auto accident.

Auto accidents can be life changing. At The Derrick Law Firm, we believe in keeping the public safe by bringing first hand experience to those who haven’t had it, as well as easing the stress of accident victims as they enter one of the most important phases of their lives.

This is a one-time $1,000 scholarship and the winner will be announced on December 20th of each year.

The deadline to apply for this scholarship is December 15th of each year. You may apply below via the Google Form.

Corporate Responsibility & Brand Value Scholarship

How to Enter the Fall 2023 Scholarship

At Knoji, we seek to promote positive brand values

Like you, we want to shop from brands who share our values. Brands who are focused not just to the bottom line, but toward making a positive impact on their communities. Brands who want to make the world a better place.

As a leading consumer knowledge site, we at Knoji believe in promoting greater transparency among brands so all of us can be more informed and make better buying decisions. We encourage brands to clearly and openly communicate their values, and for shoppers to research the brands from whom they buy.

What brand do you believe in most?

What brand best embodies the values you admire or aspire to? What company is making an important, positive impact? Share your thoughts on your favorite brand and let the world know why you love them.

For example:

  • Bombas donates an item of clothing for every item purchased. To date, they have donated over 100 million items to homeless shelters through their Giving program.
  • LUSH sells a lotion called Charity Pot where 100% of the price goes toward small organizations devoted to human rights, animal protection, and environmental justice.
  • Tentree has planted over 85 million trees by planting 10 trees for every item purchased.

You can also check out some videos from past scholarship recipients at the bottom of this page for inspiration!

Share your favorite brand and why you believe in them

Create a short TikTok or YouTube video (less than five minutes, preferably around 2-3 minutes) to share your favorite brand, their values, and how they’re making a positive impact. Describe the brand, who they are, and what they’re all about. Maybe you’ll even inspire other people to check them out!

In your video, you must answer the following:

  • Identify the brand, where they're located, and what products or services they provide.
  • How is this brand making a difference? What are their brand values?
  • Why is this brand’s mission meaningful to you personally? If possible, share a story or personal anecdote to illustrate your connection to the brand’s mission.
  • Why should other people buy from this brand?

We’ll evaluate your video and select our scholarship recipient.

Important dates

  • Submit your video by October 31, 2023.
  • We will announce our Fall 2023 scholarship recipient on November 14, 2023.
  • Stay tuned for next semester's scholarship and beyond!
