Medical Biology

"The Medical Biology major at UNE is a wonderful program of study. The professors are very knowledgeable, always there for assistance, and honestly care about your progress. One thing I really appreciate about the professors at UNE is they truly love their subjects, and their enthusiasm about topics is contagious.

"I was able to do a 3-credit internship with an osteopathic sports medicine physician in Windham. I spent 120 hours over the duration of one semester shadowing Dr. Bean. He taught me how to read MRI’s and X-rays, as well as how to diagnose fractures and ligament tears. He also taught me how to diagnose common injuries, and the different classifications for the injuries. I also learned how to make casts interact with patients. Most importantly, the internship was a catalyst for pursuing medicine."
