Course Description

This course is designed to give a student the training and confidence necessary to successfully sit for the State of Maine radiology-licensing exam.

This program consists of eight (8) hours didactic training on radiology theory and application as well as eight (8) hours of practical hands-on experience with typodonts as a real patient practicum opportunity. This course will cover techniques for taking intra-oral, occlusal, and Panorex films. Digital x-ray theory will be covered and the opportunity to expose digital films will be included as well.

Location: Westbrook College Campus, 716 Stevens Avenue, Portland, Maine 04103

Date: Tuesday–Wednesday, December 17 and 18 with a snow date of Friday, December 20

Time: 8 a.m.–5 p.m. 

Course Fee: The fee for this course is $390 and includes all supplies.

Your registration will be confirmed via letter. Early registration is strongly recommended since class size is limited. If all spaces are filled when your application and deposit are received, we will contact you to ask if you would like your name placed on a waiting list in the event of any cancellations.

Cancellation & Refunds: Due to the limited number of seats available for this course, there is a $50 non-refundable deposit. In the unlikely event of low enrollment, the course may be subject to cancellation. In case of cancellation by UNE, registrants will be notified by phone or by letter and a full refund will be given. Participants may withdraw up to 15 days prior to the start of the program and receive a refund less a $25 processing fee and less the $50 non-refundable deposit. There are no refunds given 15 or fewer days prior to the start of the course.
