In addition to serving the educational needs of UNE students, the Interprofessional Simulation and Innovation Center provides hands-on training to a wide range of health care professionals who visit our Portland Campus to enhance their clinical expertise. Recent participants have included Emergency Medical Services (EMS) personnel, military personnel, physicians, dental hygienists and nurses.

UNE's clinical simulation staff ensures that each clinical simulation meets the learning objectives of its participants, providing quality simulation design, technical support, instruction and training. We also offer consultation services related to integrating simulation into health care curricula, designing scenarios, and developing technology specific to the use of simulation in a variety of health professions.

Courses offered by the simulation center provide continuing education credits for physicians (CMEs), dentists (CEUs) and EMS providers (CEHs) through the UNE Westbrook College of Health Professions' Continuing Professional Education program.
