Entering our fourth decade of excellence in osteopathic medical education in New England, we have proudly maintained our core mission while building an international reputation for innovation and for premier centers of excellence in geriatrics, primary care, osteopathic manipulative medicine, and neuroscience and pain research.

Recognized as one of the best regional universities in the Northeast by U.S. News & World Report, the University of New England offers a wide array of degree-granting programs in the College of Osteopathic Medicine and its partner colleges: the College of Arts and Sciences, the College of Pharmacy, the College of Dental Medicine, and the College of Health Professions.

While it may be hard to rival UNE's picturesque and tranquil location on Maine’s seacoast, our innovative “Patient-First Curriculum” and world renowned faculty contribute to dynamic and engaging educational programs that transform you into a professional who always puts the patient first.

Leading the way into the new millennium, we have emerged with strong clinical education programs at major affiliate health care systems throughout New England and the Middle Atlantic States, an integrated program in simulation-based medical education, flexible distance education programs in biomedical sciences, medical education leadership and public health, and state-of-the-art laboratories for the study of human anatomy and osteopathic manipulative medicine. Our spectacular campus was further enhanced in 2008 with the opening of the Pickus Center for Biomedical Research.
