Anouar Majid is Vice President for Global Affairs and Communications, founding director of the Center for Global Humanities (Maine, USA) and the Tangier Global Forum (Morocco), and founding chair of the Department of English, which he headed from 2000 to 2009. He conceived and established UNE's campus in Tangier and is the managing director of UNE's operations in Morocco. Majid has published widely on relations between Islam and the West. Prior to joining the UNE Morocco faculty, Habiba taught at the University of Minho in Portugal. She has a Master's degree in Sociolinguistics and a Ph.D. in Language Sciences, with a focus on Critical Discourse Analysis. Adil received his Ph.D. and MSci. in solid state physics from Paul Sabatier University in Toulouse, France, and is a widely published expert on solid state physics. His research interests include doped ZnO nanostructures embedded in dielectrics, nanocrystals-based photovoltaic systems, and the modelisation of hydrophobic surfaces.
