A piece created by Stephen Burt, UNE associate professor and chair of the Department of Art and Communications, will be part of an exhibition at the Alexandria Museum of Art from September 5 to November 22, 2014.

The exhibition features artwork selected through the museum’s 27th Annual September Competition. The juried exhibition selected works from national and international artists. It showcases original art created within the past two years in all media. Works were selected from more than 150 submissions by artist-juror, James Michalopoulos.

Burt’s piece is an ink watercolor and gouache on paper that portrays a marshland scene near Lake Woodruff in Florida.
