Kelsey Earley crowned Miss Maine America 2015

Kelsey Earley, a junior studying Dental Hygiene in UNE’s Westbrook College of Health Professions was recently welcomed by Senator Susan Collins to Washington, D.C. after being crowned Miss Maine America 2015. News of her achievement was covered on politicalnews.me and WLBZ 2.

In her new role, Earley will represent the state of Maine throughout the year, and will use this opportunity to expand her “Be a Superhero” project.  

Through the “Be a Superhero” project, Earley sews superhero capes for children with disabilities or illness, and donates them to The Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital in Portland, Maine. So far, she has crafted more than 100 capes.
