Robert Eugene Haskell, Ph.D

Professor of Psychology

Robert E. Haskell, Ph.D., is former Professor of psychology, and department chair at the University of New England (USA); he is co-founder of The New England Institute of Cognitive Science and Evolutionary Psychology (www.une.edu/nei), which he co-directs. He earned his Ph.D. from the Pennsylvania State University in Psychology and Social Relations, and is a Charter member of the American Psychological Society. Major publications include: seven books, including Transfer of Learning: Cognition and Instruction and over 65 research papers, including invited entries for the 1). Encyclopedia of Applied Psychology and 2). the Academic American Encyclopedia.. He also serves on several journal editorial review boards, and is Associate Editor of The Journal of Mind and Behavior. His areas of research include: transfer of learning, small group leadership, language and communication, unconscious cognition,, and analogical reasoning. He developed a novel logico-mathematic, structural methodology for the analysis and validation of sub-literal (SubLit) language and cognition.
