Orientation and Trailblazers

New Student Orientation

Orientation prepares you for the academic, social, and personal aspects of university life. You’ll make connections and get the important information you’ll need to start at UNE. Attendance is required for all incoming undergraduate students, including first-time college students and transfer students.

Trailblazer Orientation Trips

In addition to orientation, you have the opportunity to sign up for a Trailblazer trip. Through these off-campus activities, you will meet friends, faculty, current students, and professional staff in a smaller group setting well before school begins. We offer a variety of programs for all interests.

New Nor’easters Kickoff

Our New Nor’easters Kickoff transforms move-in day into a campus-wide celebration. Whether you’re just arriving or already settled in, join us for food, games, giveaways, music, and opportunities to connect with the campus community as we welcome our newest Nor’easters and their families.

Past activities have included:

New Nor’easters Virtual Series

Our New Nor’easters virtual series offers a ton of information for incoming students and families. All sessions include a live chat so you can ask questions and get answers in real time. Can’t make the live date? A video of each session will be posted here the day after the event.

Do you have questions in the final stretch before your first day on campus? Bring them to this live virtual session — we’ve got you covered! Professional staff from our student support teams will be there to answer your questions and help you feel prepared for your first day and first year as a New Nor’easter.
