Students in the program master a variety of topics related to medication use including disease management, pharmacology, pharmacogenomics, pharmacoeconomics and pharmacy informatics.

Our curriculum is dedicated to helping our students achieve outcomes suited for their individual interests and career aspirations. The Doctor of Pharmacy program combines interdisciplinary education with experiential practice and results in a pharmacist prepared for the rigors of an interprofessional health management team.

In addition the College’s Office of Continuing Education has been granted provider status from the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE). This makes UNE the first accredited provider of continuing pharmacy education in Maine, Vermont and New Hampshire.

The College has successfully recruited and retained a very talented group of faculty members who are providing outstanding pharmacy clinical services and advancing research in the pharmaceutical, biomedical, clinical and administrative sciences.

A lot has changed since 1883 — the year Arthur Hannaford began selling high-quality fruits & vegetables from a produce cart on the Portland, Maine, waterfront. That one-horse cart became Hannaford Supermarkets, a leading grocer serving customers throughout Northern New England and New York.

Hannaford is committed to wellness with nutrition classes, has registered dieticians on staff and pharmacy services including immunizations and medication therapy management. Your local Hannaford Pharmacy is a full-service pharmacy with the convenience of a full-shop supermarket.
