Instructions for Accepting Your Financial Aid Award

FAFSA submission and Award Acceptance are required every new academic year

  • Login to U-Online
  • Select STUDENT FINANCIAL SERVICES tab at the top of the site
  • Select AWARD and then AWARD BY AID YEAR. In the SELECT AID YEAR drop-down box, select the desired Award Year and SUBMIT
  • ACCEPTING AID IS A 2-STEP PROCESS:
    1. Select TERMS AND CONDITIONS (Tab 4) to review and accept. You cannot proceed until this has been done.
    2. Select ACCEPT AWARD OFFER (Tab 5). You may:
      • ACCEPT FULL AMOUNT OF AWARDS (at bottom of award)
      • DECLINE your award (to prevent further reminders)
      • Accept a portion of the offered aid by selecting ACCEPT from the drop-down box and entering the partial amount in the ACCEPT PARTIAL AMOUNT field. Note: If you accept a partial amount, the loan will be split evenly over the terms it has been awarded unless you contact us otherwise.
  • If this is your first time borrowing loans at UNE, you will need to complete a Master Promissory Note for each loan borrowed and the corresponding Entrance Counseling. Go to studentloans.gov and choose the tab relating to the type of student you are.
  • Undergraduate Students
    • Complete Entrance Counseling
    • Complete Loan Agreement for a Subsidized/Unsubsidized Loan
  • Graduate/Professional Students
    • Complete Entrance Counseling
    • Complete Loan Agreement for a Subsidized/Unsubsidized Loan
    • Complete Loan Agreement for a PLUS Loan (if applicable)
