Lori A Kaley, MS, RDN, MSB has over 30 years of experience in public health, healthcare and consulting providing leadership on programs and policy/regulatory, evaluation and research initiatives with a focus on nutrition security and health equity. Lori is currently Program Manager/Principal Investigator for the Maine SNAP-Ed grant at the University of New England. Most recently, Lori was Managing Director with the LA Sutherland group providing integrated food and nutrition science, communication and policy counsel to strategically position public and private organizations. Lori served as Nutrition Policy Manager at the Center for Science in the Public Interest (CSPI) where she supported states in the movement to create healthier foods in public places. Lori was a member of the Guiding Stars Scientific Advisory Panel from 2006 - 2012 where she provided scientific leadership and regulatory expertise on the development and ongoing implementation of the nutrition guidance system. For over ten years, Lori worked at the University of Southern Maine's Muskie School where she was responsible for implementing an award-winning social marketing campaign and statewide policy and environmental change initiatives focused on preventing obesity and improving health. Lori holds Master's Degrees in Human Development from the University of Maine and in Business from Husson University. She earned her bachelor's degree in biology and psychology from Stony Brook University and is a registered dietitian nutritionist.
