As a student on UNE's Portland Campus, you will be a commuter student. The Graduate & Professional Student Affairs Office is here to help connect you with resources for locating an apartment and/or finding a roommate. For additional help with answers to questions not found on this website, feel free to contact us at (207) 221-4267 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Rent your space to a student!
UNE graduate students make great tenants. If you're an owner with property to rent in Portland and its neighboring towns, you may complete and submit an application to add your property to our listing. To keep our listing current, please notify us when your unit is rented.
Find a roommate
We can help connect you with other UNE students who are looking for housing or a roommate. Complete our survey using your UNE username and password to gain access to a searchable database.
Visit our password portal if you have yet to activate your UNE username and password.
Are you going to be living in Portland without a vehicle?
UNE students can ride the Metro, Portland's efficient public transportation system, at no charge! You must pick up a Metro Pass from the Office of Graduate and Professional Student Affairs, located at Proctor Hall 02.
Metro Passes are available in either a 10-ride punch card for the leisure/part-time passenger, or as a Monthly Pass for the commuter who rides more than 40 times a month. Monthly passes are available the last week of each month for the upcoming month.
We now offer a free shuttle connecting our two Maine campuses. This green initiative provides service Monday through Friday between the Biddeford Campus Center and the Portland Campus' Bishop Street parking lot, with connections at the Saco Transportation Center. The shuttle features WiFi and free parking at the Bishop Street and Saco Transportation Center lots, and is free to all UNE students and employees!
