The CEAH engages with our Legacy Scholars and other friends through lifelong learning and other fellowship events. Many involve UNE students and faculty as participants or presenters, fostering important intergenerational exchanges.
Prior to the pandemic, these events occurred in person on or near to the UNE campuses in Biddeford and Portland, Maine. Our programming moved online in March, 2020, with weekly offerings intended to bring people together, reduce isolation, and promote positive exchange. These are ongoing and include a weekly support group and various “Coffee and Conversation” events. Some of our most popular events involve conversations with older adults from other countries.
Adults, aged 55+ years, from Maine and elsewhere, are welcome to join our online outreach program. Attend one offering or many; the choice is yours. There is no cost to participate.
