Geoffrey Bove, DC, PhD, has published a chapter entitled "Nociceptors, Pain, and Spinal Manipulation" in the latest edition of Waldman's Pain management, 2011.  In its second edition, this comprehensive book is regarded as the premiere clinical reference in the field. Dr. Bove is a long time NIH funded pain researcher who specializes in pain due to neural inflammation and endometriosis. He continues to see chronic pain patients as part of his chiropractic practice and is actively developing new research programs that look at the effects of manipulative medicine on adhesions and ileus following major abdominal surgery.
