Hunter Sweet and Marilyn Gugliucci provide keynote address for the Maine Veterans Homes Annual Conference

Hunter Sweet, UNECOM MS III, and Marilyn R. Gugliucci, Ph.D., Director of Geriatrics Education and Research provided the keynote address for the  Maine Veterans Homes Annual Conference held in Bangor, Maine last week.  The address was entitled: Learning by Living: Life Altering Medical Education Research. Hunter lived in the Maine Veterans Home in Scarborough during the summer of 2010, and he was filmed for the 90-minute documentary that is in the editing process by an independent film company out of NYC. There are five Maine Veterans Homes and six UNECOM students have lived in three of them over the years. Hunter received a standing ovation from the 150 attendees in the audience.
