Timothy Ford speaks at the NASA Microbial Monitoring Workshop at the Johnson Space Center

Dr. Timothy Ford, UNE Vice President for Research and Dean of Graduate Studies, was invited to speak at the NASA Microbial Monitoring Workshop at the Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas on April 19, 2011.  Dr. Ford spoke on "Environmental Pathogens, Emerging Pathogens and Biofilms in Microgravity."  This was the initial meeting of internal and external experts to help NASA determine the future direction for monitoring microbiological quality of the International Space Station and the health of crew members during future manned missions in space.
