Anne Cowles awarded Maine Gerontological Society Fellowship Status

Anne Cowles, fitness director for the UNECOM Department of Geriatric Medicine U-ExCEL Older Adult Fitness Program, was awarded Maine Gerontological Society Fellowship Status at the Maine Geriatrics Conference in Bar Harbor June 7-8, 2012. 

Maine Gerontological Society (MGS) Fellow Status is an honor bestowed upon those individuals who are members of the organization that have proven outstanding achievement in such activities as, but not limited to: service to the community, service to MGS, health care practice, research, mentorship, education, and/or administration related to aging. Becoming a Maine Gerontological Society Fellow (MGSF) is the highest honor of the Society recognizing the individual's commitment to issues and/or care related to aging. Marilyn R Gugliucci, Ph.D. as MGS president, had the honor of presenting the award to Cowles.
