'Bangor Daily News' reports on Eli Pariser’s upcoming lecture at UNE

On March 18, 2014, the Bangor Daily News featured an article on the upcoming talk by Lincolnville, Maine, native and former executive of MoveOn.org Eli Pariser at UNE’s Paul D. Merrill Business Ethics Lecture, which will be held on the April 4th on the Portland Campus.  Pariser will speak on "Mission Driven Innovation: Can Technology Change the World?"

Pariser is the author of the book The Filter Bubble: What the Internet is Hiding from You.

The article notes that Upworthy, a social media outlet co-founded by Pariser, had about 8.7 million monthly viewers in its first six months and has “attracted the fascination of media organizations trying to decode and replicate its secret to success.”

Pariser’s talk, to be held at Ludcke Auditorium, is free and open to the public.  It will be followed by a reception at the UNE Art Gallery.
