Anouar Majid on cover of 'Urbain' magazine
Anouar Majid, Ph.D., vice president for Global Affairs and director of the Center for Global Humanities, was featured on the front cover of Urbain, a free monthly magazine in Tangier, Morocco, that interviewed Majid for its most recent issue.
In the interview, Majid, a native of Tangier, discusses what brought him to the United States, his journey at UNE, which led to his founding of the Center for Global Humanities and the establishment of the Tangier Campus, and his evolving philosophies on Muslim society.
Majid also spoke at about the virtues of Tangier as an up and coming major metropolitan center that has the charm of an American city like San Francisco combined with a European/Mediterranean spirit.
