UNE Department of Occupational Therapy well-represented at American Occupational Therapy Association
The UNE Department of Occupational Therapy was well-represented at the 2015 American Occupational Therapy Association conference in Nashville, Tennessee:
- Regi Robnett, Ph.D., OTR/L, professor in the Department of Occupational Therapy, received the Roster of Fellow’s Award for the significant contributions she has made to the profession of Occupational Therapy.
- Judith Kimball, Ph.D., OTR/L, FAOTA, founding director and professor, was inaugurated into the American Occupational Therapy Foundation’s Leaders and Legacies group.
- Faculty members Jan Froehlich, M.S., OTR/L, associate professor; Scott McNeil, M.S., OTD, OTR/L, assistant clinical professor; and Robnett presented a poster on service learning and its relationship to fieldwork.
- Robnett, Jessica Bolduc, MSOTR/L, Dr.OT candidate, adjunct faculty member, and two MSOT students Nicole Conti and Erin Foster, presented on the ChoRo Assessment Tool.
- Megan Shea and Erin Williams, MSOT ’14, presented with Kathryn Loukas, M.S., OTD, OTR/L, FAOTA, clinical professor, with collaboration from Eileen Ricci, PT, DPT, M.S., PCS, associate clinical professor of Physical Therapy, and Allison Morrill, J.D., Ph.D., associate dean of research, on projects as part of the Westbrook College of Health Professions Interprofessional Education program:
- Shea co-authored a poster on neuro-occupational recommendations for mealtime routines for children with Autism
- Williams presented a research poster on interprofessional attitudes of OT and PT students involved in the Transdisciplinary Playgroup.
The OT department also hosted an alumni reception to premier a newly produced video celebrating its 30th year. The 30th reunion will be held in September 2015.
