Jane O’Brien co-authors book for top textbook company

Jane O’Brien, Ph.D., OTR/L, FAOTA, professor in the University of New England Department of Occupational Therapy, served as co-author of the 4th edition of Pediatric Skills for Occupational Therapy Assistants along with Jeanne Soloman, M.S., OTR/L, FAOTA of Charleston, South Carolina. 

The edition was recently published by Elsevier, the leading textbook company for health professions. Several other chapters were authored or co-authored by UNE faculty and alumni, including Elizabeth Crampsey, M.S., OTR/L, BCPR, assistant clinical professor, Mary Elizabeth Patnaude, M.S., OTR/L, assistant clinical professor, Michelle Desjardins (MSOT ’04), Caryn Husman (MSOT ’04), M.S., OTR/L, assistant professor, director of Health Wellness & Occupational Studies and Barbara Steva, (MSOT ’07).

UNE student and faculty photos are used throughout the textbook. Graduate students Kelcey Briggs (Occupational Therapy, ‘17), Kelly Dolyak (Occupational Therapy ‘17) and Henry Powell (Occupational Therapy ‘16) are acknowledged for their work on the Evolve learning materials and glossary.
