'Journal Tribune' advertises upcoming lecture by UNE’s Anouar Majid on Islam in America

The February 15, 2017 issue of the Journal Tribune published an article on an upcoming community lecture to be given by Anouar Majid, Ph.D., vice president for Global Affairs and director of the Center for Global Humanities. He will present “Islam and America in a Turbulent World” at the Kennebunk Free Library on March 8 at 6 p.m.
In his talk, Majid will discuss the unexamined meaning of Islam in the modern world and will explore ways in which the United States should deal with this very powerful world religion that is not well understood.
