Yang Kang

Dr. Kang received her DDS degree from Capital Medical University School of Stomatology in China in 1997. She practiced dentistry for five years in China before joining the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry for graduate education. With enthusiasm in research, she received a doctoral degree in oral biology while studying protein structures and interactions in ubiquitin pathways. Dr. Kang moved to Rochester, NY in 2010 for advanced training in clinical research and general dentistry. After a one-year clinical research fellowship, she obtained an Advanced Education in General Dentistry certificate in 2013. She then completed a General Practice Residency in 2014. Dr. Kang is an active member of the American Association of Dental Research, International Association of Dental Research, American Dental Education Association, and American Dental Association. In addition to clinical practice, she is also interested in conducting patient-based translational and clinical research in an academic environment.
