Yang Kang

Dr. Kang received her D.D.S. degree from the Capital Medical University, China in 1997. She practiced five years before joining the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry for graduate education. With enthusiasm in research, she received a doctoral degree in oral biology and then moved to Rochester, NY for advanced training in clinical research and general dentistry. She completed a clinical research fellowship in 2011, an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency in 2013, and a General Practice Residency in 2014. Dr. Kang is an active member of the American Association of Dental Research, American Dental Education Association, American Dental Association, and Special Care Dentistry Association. In addition to clinical practice, she is also interested in conducting patient-based translational research in an academic environment.
