"I chose my major because I like working with people and wanted to do something in the health sciences. 

"I chose UNE because I wanted to stay in state, but also wanted to try and play a sport in college. UNE was the only college that had my major and offered field hockey in the state of Maine

"What I like about UNE is the small size. I like the small campus community. You can really get to know everyone, including your professors. I also enjoy playing for the University's field hockey team and being a part of the Student American Dental Hygiene Association.

"Case study projects, the Yankee Dental Convention, community health class, and the Dental Hygiene Clinic all help majors get up to date, and provide us with hands on experience."
