UNE College of Osteopathic Medicine students volunteer at New England Parkinson’s Ride

New England Parkinson’s Ride

Students from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine volunteered at the New England Parkinson’s Ride on September 9, 2017.

The ride, which had 50 and 100-mile routes, saw an estimated 1,000 cyclists from all across the country. Students from osteopathic honor and service society Sigma Sigma Phi sponsor a rest stop each year for the ride. This year, that rest stop was located at St. Andre Health Care Facility just down the road from UNE’s Biddeford campus. Members of the Student American Academy of Osteopathy (SAAO) provided osteopathic manipulative treatment on riders at the finish line.
