Joshua Bennett Poetry Slam

Joshua Brandon Bennett, a 20-year old student at the University of Pennsylvania, is a three-time national poetry slam champion, placed in the top 5 at the Individual World Poetry Slam in Charlotte, North Carolina. He is currently featured in the HBO Documentary: Brave New Voices. He has also performed at venues such as the Kennedy Center, the Shrine Auditorium, Central Park Summer Stage and, most recently, the White House. Joshua plans on pursuing a PhD/JD after graduating from U. Penn next year, and he hopes that he will be able to incorporate his craft into his academic work for years to come. He hails from Yonkers, NY.
