Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act

The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) is a federal law that protects the privacy of student education records and gives students control over who can access their information. Once a student enrolls at UNE, most academic information can only be shared with parents or family members if the student provides permission.
